Adjaye Associates, Website Redesign
Originally launched in 2013, the former Adjaye Associates website no longer reflected the scale or sophistication of the studio’s global portfolio. Working as part of a small internal design and communications team of four, I helped lead the redesign to create a digital platform that better expressed the practice’s architectural vision and multidisciplinary approach. The new site was developed as a contemporary, flexible space that celebrates the depth and diversity of the studio’s work. Designed with longevity and adaptability in mind, it serves as both a showcase and an evolving digital home for Adjaye Associates’ creative output.
The Problem
The previous website failed to make a strong first impression. Its design was visually outdated, difficult to navigate, and featured small, hard-to-read text. Key elements of modern web design were missing. The redesign needed to present the full scope of Adjaye Associates’ work while providing a flexible, future-proof platform that could evolve and be easily maintained over time.
The Solution
Conceived as a digital gallery and a grand architectural space, the new website invites visitors to explore the breadth of Adjaye Associates’ global work. The redesigned site enhances functionality and user experience through thoughtful layout decisions that balance practicality with refined visual appeal.
